Ady Elzam
Ilan Lev Method practitioner since 2011 • Movement educator • Professional dancer
I’ve been practicing the Ilan Lev Method since 2011, and it has shaped the way I understand the body, tension, and learning. My work is for people who feel pain, limitation, or persistent tension — and also for people who simply sense that their system needs a change, even if they can’t put it into words yet.
My approach
A session is a discovery journey. Instead of trying to “fix” something, we explore where your body is right now and what it actually needs. Control often shows up as tension — the system trying to manage, predict, and stay in charge. Through the work, movement is introduced in a way that becomes hard to control in the usual way. When control drops, tension drops — and learning can happen surprisingly fast.
Nothing is forced. The work stays within what your body can naturally receive, and we go only as far as your system is ready to go.
What I’m especially interested in
-
Helping the body recognize the difference between effort and unnecessary tension
-
Finding the “edges” of a pattern — the places where the system tries to stay in control
-
Creating conditions where the body can let go and reorganize on its own terms

Background
My background is in professional dance and movement teaching. Over the years I’ve worked closely within the ILM training environment, including assisting in ILM courses. I’m drawn to the meeting point between movement, perception, and nervous-system patterns — and to the moment when the body realizes it has new options.
